All Progressive Congress, APC releases schedule of activities for governorship election in Edo and Ondo states.
This announcement was made in a statement signed by the National secretary of the ruling party, Emma Ibediro Esq.
Ibediro Esq, said the step is in accordance with the 2010 amended electoral act of the Independence National Electoral Commission, INEC.
The electoral process is set to commence on 19th of May 2020 with the Notice of Election to the state chapters in the two states.

In Edo state, sales of form will commence on the 20th of May and span to 2nd of June 2020.
While the sales of form will take place in Ondo state between 11th of June to 1st of July this year.
Also, the submission of form will end in both Edo and Ondo states on Wednesday, 3rd of June and Thursday 2nd of July respectively.
After which publication of aims and objectives will follow between Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th of June in Edo.
While in Ondo, publication of aims and objectives is scheduled to take place between 6th and 7th of July.
The next step is the screening of applicants and screening appeal which commence respectively in Edo between 10th – 11th of June and Friday 12 of June.
While in Ondo, screening of applicants will take place on the 8th of July and screening appeal on the 10th of the same month.
The screening will be followed subsequently by primary election on the 22nd of June in Edo and 24th of July in Ondo.
After which the aspirants will have the chance to request appeal after primary election, on or before 24th of June in Edo and 22nd of July in Ondo.
In the statement, Ibediro said the price for the nomination form goes for 22.5 Million Naira (#22,500,000).
This includes expression of interest which goes for 2.5 Million Naira (#2,500,000) and Nomination which goes for 20 million Naira (#20,000,000).
He also added that there is a discount of 50% for the female and physical disabled applicants.
