Costa Rica legalize same-sex Marriage becoming the first central American country to allow such.
The Costa Rican government has taken another serious move to legalizing same-sex marriage in the country.
With this move, Costa Rica becomes the first central American country and the sixth Latin American country to allow same-sex marriage.
This was advent was ushered in by a lesbian couple whose wedding was aired on national television shortly after the law was enacted.
In his speech, the President of Costa Rica, Carlos Alvarado Quesada, on his twitter page said, calls for equality in gender marriage.
He tweeted; “Costa Rica officially recognizes equal marriage. Today we celebrate freedom, equality and democratic institutions. Let empathy and love be the compass that allows us to move forward and build a country where everyone belongs.”
