The governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje receives elders of the state over COVID-19 coronavirus.
Some elders of the state led by the former NRC presidential candidate, Alhaji Bashir Tofa, has paid the governor of Kano state a visit in a bid to improve the government’s intervention on coronavirus.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Abba Anwar said in a statement released by him that the group consulted the governor on a teleconference.
In his statement, Abba Anwar said the meeting devoted special attention to the issue of Almajiri and the distribution of Covid-19 palliative in the state.
However, the governor himself, Dr. Ganduje has shown his sincere appreciation to the intervention of the group.

“On the lockdown , Ganduje said, his administration was aware of life, livelihood and liberty issues, surrounding lthe process of the ockdown, both locally and globally.” Sun News reported.
“It is either you take your life and that of your family and other members of the society very serious and stay home and observe other protocols, or you assume that livelihood supersedes your life or you think you have liberty or you are at liberty to move around as you wished, while disregarding your life,” he explained.
Among other things discussed was how the state can use technology to improve the capability of the entire process of COVID-19 in the state.
Also, Nigerian News World gathered that Kano state is still on lockdown as the state government declared one week extension this Tuesday.
This decision can be traced back to the alarming rate at which new cases of the virus is being confirmed in the state for the past few weeks.
