There has been different reactions following the lift of ban on religious gathering in Ondo.
Ondo state government, under the leadership of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu had earlier announced the lift on partial lockdown on religious activities on Wednesday.
Akeredolu made this decision after due consultation with the appropriate quarters and stakeholders.
However, this decision has brought about different reactions from different people of different religion.
Mr. Samuel Abiola, a worshiper with the Christ the King Church, Akure, when speaking with SaharaReporters, said the opening of churches was a right decision taken by the state government.
Mr. Abiola said it would allow Christians to pray more for the nation in order to surmount the challenges bedeviling the country.

In her own view, an Evangelist in a Pentecostal church in Akure, Mrs. Abigail Ilerioluwa said there’s no need for the rush to open religious places by the government as the state is not free from the coronavirus threat.
Another Muslim faithful, Ibrahim Rafiu, said allowing worshippers in mosques was a welcomed development but expressed fear that it could trigger a spread of the virus in such gatherings.
When speaking with the press, the Ondo State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Rev Ayo Oladapo, disclosed that after their had been a meeting between the government and the religious heads within the state on ways to protect their members from the virus.
He added that church heads has been directed to sensitise their members before religious activities resume. He also pledge their support for the government in seeing to the end of the virus.
A member of the Muslim Welfare Board in Ondo, who was consulted in place of the Chief Imam of Akure, said it was ripe for the opening of religious activities. Adding that markets are being opened gradually for commercial activities.
