VP Osinbajo launches registration port for MSMEs

VP Osinbajo launches integrated portal for MSMEs registration and give palliative for MSMEs owners.

Prof. Yemi Osinbajo made this announcement yesterday via a video broadcast and a press statement signed by him.

In the announcement, the Vice President made it known that starting yesterday May 15, the Micro/Small Scale Entrepreneurs, MSMEs can now register their business with NAFDAC from the comfort of their room.

More so, the vice president said their will be a discount of 80% for all registration for the next six(6) months.

He therefore expressed the administration’s commitment to supporting existing MSMEs and encouraging the rising ones.

He said;

“It’s quite clear that the President is committed to supporting existing MSMEs and encouraging the rise of new ones, as a sure way energizing and sustaining our economy through these times.”

However, the integrated portal is in compliance with NAFDAC’s e-Registration assistance for MSMEs through the Automated Product Administration and Monitoring System (NAPAMS).

In addition, Osinbajo announced a palliative of zero tariffs for the first 200 Micro and Small Businesses, MSMEs to register on the e-platform.

He also declared a waiver on administrative charges for overdue/late renewal of expired licenses of products for a period of 90 days.

Conclusively, the Vice President expressed his appreciation to the Director General of NAFDAC and her team for the support.
