Novak Djokovic tests positive of COVID-19, his wife also tests positive, his children are negative. His staff confirmed.
The world number one tennis player, Novak Djokovic has tested positive of COVID-19, coronavirus virus.
This development was confirmed in a statement released by one of his staff earlier on Tuesday.
However, the staff added that he is asymptomatic has he is yet to display any symptom of the viral disease.
Djokovic who just returned from the Adria Tour which was held in Zadar last weekend, said he and his wife were tested positive of the virus upon return.
CNN, in their report, added that the children of the Renowned tennis player were however, negative of the virus.
In a statement released on the player’s official website, he defended organizing the Adria Tour, a four-stage charity event hosted in the Balkans.
The 17-time grand slam champion;
“It was all born with a philanthropic idea, to direct all raised funds towards people in need and it warmed my heart to see how everybody strongly responded to this,”
However, Djokovic has said he will complete his 14-days self-isolation and go for another test.
