COVID-19: 216 in Lagos as NCDC Records 573 New Cases

COVID-19 Update: 216 New cases in Lagos as NCDC records 573 new cases of coronavirus disease in Nigeria with a total of 424 deaths.

The Nigeria Centre for Diseases Control (NCDC) has announced the discovery of 573 new cases of COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria.

The report is the total cases of the virus discovered in Nigeria for the 15th of June 2020.

Lagos State has taken the lead again as the state singly recorded a total number of 216 which is about 40% of the entire cases.

This has been the situation of Lagos state for the past few days, and it’s quite disturbing.

Similarly, Rivers State also recorded a total sum of 103 new cases of the virus while Oyo state recorded 68 new cases.

A further breakdown of the cases by states shows that Edo has 40 new cases while Kano has 21.

Similarly, Gombe has 20, FCT has 17, Delta has 13, Plateau has 12 and Bauchi also has 12 new cases of the virus.

Furthermore, Niger state also recorded 10 new cases, Kebbi recorded 9, Ogun recorded 8 same as Ondo who also recorded 8 new cases.

Also, Abia State discovered 7 new cases, Nasarawa has 5, while Borno, Kwara, Benue, and Anambra all have 1 new case each.

Therefore, the total number of Coronavirus disease in Nigeria is now 16,658 confirmed cases and 5,349 patients have fully recovered and discharged.

Meanwhile, 424 patients were unfortunate and we’re unable to survive the virus as they lost their life to this deadly virus.

However, Nigerians have been showing their distrust in the daily results being released by the NCDC daily.

They feel the number has been increasing at an alarming rate, yet those confirmed patients are not known.
