COVID-19 Cases in Oyo now 860 - Makinde

Seyi Makinde says Covid-19 cases in Oyo state now 860 as 45 suspected cases test positive on Saturday.

The governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde has announce that the total confirmed cases on Saturday 20th of June now 860.

He said this following the report of the Oyo state COVID-19 task force that confirmed 45 suspected cases to be positive.

Gov. Makinde made this announcement on his Twitter handle @seyimakinde and gave the highlight of their location.

The highlight showed that 12 of the 45 new confirmed cases are from the Ibadan South-East local government.

Similarly, 8 of cases are from Oluyole local government and 5 from Ibadan South-West, also 5 from Egbeda.

He further disclosed that 3 are from each of Ido and Ibadan North East, while 2 are from each of Ibadan North, Lagelu, Saki and Ona Ara.

Meanwhile, Ibadan North West local government was not left out as one came from the local government, same goes with Afijo local government.

Also Akinyele, Ibarapa East, and Ibadan North local governments also has one each of the 45 cases.

The governor therefore confirmed that the cases of COVID-19 in the state is now 809 as of Saturday 20th of June.

He wrote;

So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State today is 809.

Meanwhile, NCDC reported 51 new cases of the virus for the state as a summary of cases recorded in the state on Saturday.
