COVID-19 task force in Ondo arrested escaped patient from Imo state isolation center where he was selling second hand clothes in Akure.
Ondo State special task force on COVID-19 has announced the arrest of a patient who escaped from an isolation center in Imo state.
The patient was reportedly arrested at the popular Oja Oba market in Akure on Saturday where she was trading in second hand okirika clothes.
This arrest was confirmed by the Ondo State comisioner for health, Dr. Wahab Adegbenro while contacting the press.
Dr. Adegbenro disclosed that the governments of Ondo and Imo states has had the patient on their surveillance before finally apprehend on Saturday.
He further said the state has also begun tracing those who might have transacted with her to prevent the community outbreak of the virus in the state.
However, the patient has been taken to the isolation center at the Infectious Disease Hospital in Akure.
