COVID-19 Update: 260 new cases recorded in Nigeria, totalling the number of positive cases to 12486.
The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced the discovery of 260 new cases of Covid-19 in Nigeria.
NCDC made the announcement via it’s official Twitter handle as their daily COVID-19 Update for the 7th of June.
According to the agency, Abia toos the list having 67 cases in the state, followed by Federal Capital Territory, Abuja having 40 new cases recorded.
Lagos comes next with 38 new cases and Ogun with 19, while Gombe next with 16 new cases of the novel virus.

Edo follows suit with 14 new cases and Imo with 9, while Kwara, Katsina, Nasarawa, and Borno each recorded 8 new cases.
Kaduna comes next with 6 as earlier announced by the state governor, while Bauchi follows with 5.
Similarly, Ekiti records 4 cases, while Niger, Ondo, Plateau, Kano and Sokoto has the same number of 2 cases each.
As at the time of this report, the total cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria sums up to 12486 with 3959 discharges and 354 deaths.
Meanwhile, earlier on Saturday, WHO in Africa declares that the total number of positive cases of the virus in Africa has exceeds 175000.
