COVID-19 Update on June 9, 663 new cases confirmed by NCDC, taking the toll to 13464 confirmed cases in Nigeria.
The Nigeria Centre for Diseases Control (NCDC) has reported the confirmation of 663 new cases in Nigeria.
This report is the result of the total positive cases confirmed on Tuesday, the 9th of June 2020.
According to NCDC daily COVID-19 Update, this be 663 cases takes the toll of the Coronavirus disease in Nigeria to 13464.
Giving the breakdown, the 663 cases were found in about 26 state of the 36 states of the country with Lagos having the highest cases of 170 and Ogun state being the second with 108 cases.
Similarly, Bauchi state recorded 69 new cases while Ebonyi recorded 49 positive cases as of 11:30pm of Tuesday, 9th of June.
While Edo and Rivers states recorded a number of 33 and 30 new cases respectively, Abuja and Jigawa state has equal number of 26 new cases each.
Also, NCDC recorded a total number of 20 new cases in Delta State and 17 in Anambra state, while Gombe and Kano states has just 16 new cases each.
Meanwhile, Imo, Abia, Borno, and Oyo states recorded 15, 14, 11 and 11 new cases respectively, meaning Oyo and Borno states has equal number of 11 cases each.
Also, Plateau state has also confirmed 8 new cases of coronavirus disease in the state, likewise Kebbi and Kaduna, confirming 6 positive cases each.
Meanwhile, in Ondo, there were fresh 4 cases of the novel virus and just 2 in each of Niger and Katsina states.
On the other hand, Osun recorded one new case after being free for some days now, likewise Ekiti, Kwara and Nasarawa states having just one positive case of the virus each.
In other words, the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease in Nigeria as at 23:30 of June 9, 2020 is now 13464 with 4206 patients fully recovered amd discharged and 365 deaths recorded so far.
