FG releases new directives on re-opening economy in Nigeria, gives states autonomy to decide religious gathering.

The federal government under president Buhari’s leadership has released fresh new directives in his decision to reopen economy.

These new directives are set to commence on Tuesday 2nd of June across Nigeria.

President Buhari still maintain the nationwide curfew which holds between 10pm – 4am everyday.

However, in a report by the media team of the vice president of Nigeria called “VillaUpdates”, there has been new development in the new set of guidelines.

According to VillaUpdates, the FG has given order for full reopening of financial sectors across the country.

However, on the issue of religious worshiping, the Federal Government has directed all states to reopen places of worship which should be guided by each state’s protocol.

Moreso, interstate travel ban still stands except movement of essential goods and services, likewise the social gathering of more than 20 people outside of work places and places of worship.

In addition, the offices and places of work has been directed to maintain physical distancing of 2 meters.

Furthermore, hotels and restaurants have been allowed to open but the restaurants outside of hotels are still restricted to take out only.

Similarly, the closure of bars, gyms, clubs and relaxation centers remain closed till further notice.

The most awaiting news by many students is still pending as the ban on schools is still in place.

Furthermore, the request by the Aviation Industry to start developing protocols for domestic flights is still under review, with possibilities of June 21.

Conclusively, the federal government has directed all states to implement and enforce these orders for effectiveness.

The Buhari led administration also enforce the compliance of all directives given by the presidential task force on COVID-19.
