Gunmen invade, kill no less than 35 in Katsina

Unknown gunman invade and kill no less that 35 people in Kadisau village in Faskari lg of Katsina state.

Unknown Gunmen has reportedly invaded Kadisau village of Faskari Local Government in Katsina state.

In a correspondent by DailyTrust, no less than 35 dead bodies were counted, while another 25 bodies were injured and receiving treatment.

According to the residents, the unknown Gunmen stormed the village in the late hours of Tuesday and carried out their mischievous act for about 3 hours.

The source said the bandits who came on about 150 motorcycles started their shootout on the playground where some youths were playing football and killed many of them.

“They spent three hours carrying out the killing spree because it was only around 8pm that they left the village. The bandits came on more than 150 motorcycles carrying between 2 and 3 persons on each,” he said.

Speaking further, the source revealed that they counted 32 in Kadisau village alone and we’re set to bury them.

Meanwhile, as they were set for the burial, they heard that the gunmen were spotted in a nearby village which made them fled for their life before the military came.

He also added that armless youths who tried to confront them were killed in cold blood at the point.

Meanwhile, he appreciated the military efforts in restoring peace to the community and ensuring security of lives and properties.
