Democracy day: Pave Way For Younger Brains - Group calls

As Nigeria celebrates her democracy day, a youth group has called on the federal government to pave way for the younger brains.

A body of youth organization under the umbrella of Youth Advancement Initiative (YAI) has called on the Federal Government to pave way for the younger brains.

This was contained in a statement signed by the National President, Ambassador Ade Mario Emmanuel and forwarded to Nigerian News as his independence day greetings.

Ade viewed a true democracy as freedom, equity, and justice in every system of an democraric society.

However, the YAI president feels the independence Nigeria hoped for is not what she received and receiving, he said;

“Theoretically, Democracy worths celebrating but, how do we celebrate same in Nigeria today when Democracy as a system is procedurally out of track ? The prevalence of the rule of law has become an optional matter whenever needs arise.”

Furthermore, Ambassador Ade expressed his discord over the political system of the country, he claimed that personal feelings has beclouded the interest of the citizens.

“Politically, personal agenda overrides the interest of the public. Every sector has given-in to what serves them best and not what the masses get.”

He said.

“The independence of other organs of government are nothing to write home about. How do we justify the manipulation and the irregularities in the Judiciary? The House of Assemblies across every state and the National one are no longer representing the masses. The Law Enforcement bodies work on order from above, sometimes.”

He added.

Speaking on the need for the youths to take over power, Ade Mario said, regrettably, the so called “government of the people, by the people and for the people” is now dominated by “some old crook” and run by some designated “specie of men.”

He said;

“Technologically, Economically, Politically, every sector is dominated by those old crooks who should have hung the boot for the young ones. The young brains can only move with the modern day technological advancement and then, control it in the best interest of the people it needs; No, not the old ones.”

The National President of YAI therefore calls on every citizens to clamour for one Nigeria.
