Osun relaxes curfew, gives fresh new directives

Osun state relaxes curfew in the state, gives fresh new directives in the conduct of the citizens in response to COVID-19.

The governor of Osun state has decided to relaxes the 6-6 curfew in the state with new measures to protect it’s citizens.

Governor Adegboyega Oyetola made this announcement on Thursday where he gave new guidelines in this phase of gradual reopening of the state’s economy from the lockdown imposed by Coronavirus.

In this fresh guidelines, the 6pm to 6am curfew in the state has been relaxed to 9pm to 5am with civil servants of grade level 7 and above to resume work in earnest.

Moreso, the total lockdown which was declared from Friday to Sunday has been lift for the next 14 days with the hope of permanent lift if situation of things improve.

He also added that the closure of all major markets within the state still stands till further notice.

However, all other markets are allowed to open but with strict observing of the COVID-19 preventive measures as use of nose masks, observing physical distancing, among others.

Meanwhile, the governor had earlier on Wednesday declare the opening of religious gatherings with effect from Friday, 5th of June.

Notwithstanding the lift on the religious gathering, the faithful of the religious groups are only allowed for one hours with strict observance of the NCDC COVID-19 preventive measures.

Meanwhile, Oyetola still impose the ban on political, public, religious gathering beyond an hour, and all other forms gathering within the state.
