NCDC recorded 587 new COVID-19 cases as Nigeria records a total of 17,735 and 469 deaths.
Nigeria Center for Diseases Control, NCDC has announced that Nigeria recorded new 587.
The new 587 cases were reported for Wednesday 17th of June, taking the toll I’m Nigeria to 17,735 total cases.
Giving the breakdown, NCDC announced that Lagos State has the highest number of the 587 new cases with 155 new positive cases.
Meanwhile, Edo state also recorded 75 new cases of the virus while the Federal Capital has 67 new cases.
Similarly, Rivers State discovered 65 new cases of the virus in the state, and Oyo state recorded 56 new cases.
Also, Delta State recorded 50 new cases and Bayelsa recorded 25 new cases while Plateau recorded 18.
Similarly, Kaduna has 18 of the said 587 and Enugu take 17 while Borno and Ogun States has 12 each.

Ondo on its part has 7, and Kwara had 4 new cases, meanwhile, Kano and Gombe had just 2 each and Kebbi and Sokoto also has 1 new case each.
NCDC therefore declared that the total number of 17,735 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been recorded in Nigeria so far.
Meanwhile, 5,967 of the said number have fully recovered and discharged, but 469 lost their life to the virus.
