Police storm Ondo house of assembly on the alleged plot to impeach the state’s deputy governor.
It has been another drama in Ondo state’s house of assembly and a continuity of the drama which begin on Sunday after the state’s deputy governor dumps APC.
The state’s deputy governor, Mr. Agboola Ajayi dumped the party on Sunday to join the People’s Democratic Party, PDP after the unsettled dispute between him and the state’s governor.

However, the crisis has birthed a new update as policemen stormed the state’s house of assembly in the early hours of Tuesday to allegedly provide cover for the lawmakers plotting the impeachment of the deputy governor.
In a report by SaharaReporters, a source, while confirming the news, said the complex workers were seen running to safety.
“We woke up to see policemen in our complex this morning manning strategic positions. I overheard one of them saying they were asked by the Commissioner of Police to stay here.”
The source confirmed.
Speaking further, the anonymous source claimed there had been plans to impeach Ajayi since his movement to the opposition party, PDP.
“There has been plans to impeach the deputy governor since he defected to the PDP on Sunday and the presence of the policemen is to provide cover for some of the lawmakers loyal to the governor to carry out the job.”
“I have found my way out of the complex while other workers are running away in order not to be affected.”
Meanwhile, Nigerian News World had earlier reported that the PDP national chairman, while welcoming Ajayi to the party promised their will be no imposition of candidate in the coming election.
