Senate President, Ahmad Lawan calls for removal of incapable services chief in the country.
The Nigerian Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan has said that service chiefs who fail in their duties should be relieved of their position.
Lawan made this call on Sunday after a security meeting with the president in Abuja.
According to a report by LegitNg, the senate leader said the only reason the national assembly allocated more resources to the security agencies is because they expect improvement in the security system of the country.
Senator Lawan therefore told the security chiefs to buckle up in their duties or be shown off.
Speaking further, Lawan said the Nigerian military and paramilitary agencies need more manpower to check insecurity in the country.
He pointed out that the security agencies need more resources to handle the security situation especially in the northern part of the country.
