COVID-19: Madagascar barns herbal drugs as 2 lawmakers died

– Madagascar prohibits the use of COVID-19 herbal drugs after two lawmakers reported dead of the virus.

Madagascar President, Andry Rajoelina has imposed fresh lockdown on Antananarivo the country’s capital.

The lockdown which took effect on July 5th was as a result of fresh upsurge of coronavirus cases in the country.

The president in a statement announced that two lawmakers, a senator and a deputy, have recently died of the dreaded virus while other fourteen senators and eleven deputies are currently infected.

Reports have it that this new outbreak is as a result of the highly promoted and publicized Madagascar herbal preventive and curative drug which the president claimed is a green gold which according to him will change the course of history.

Meanwhile, the drug have not been validated by any scientific research, but the president went ahead to approved and launched the drug in April, and today Madagascar has a total of two thousand five hundred and seventy three cases of coronavirus.

Notably, thirty five death in the past months, with the initial lockdown lasting for two months.
