COVID-19: Nigeria recorded 503 positive cases

– Nigeria has recorded new 503 positive COVID-19 cases.

– Tally hits over 29 thousand positive cases so far.

Nigeria has again recorded new 503 cases of Coronavirus across the country on Tuesday.

The analysis is based on the report of the Nigeria Centre for Diseases Control, NCDC, being their daily COVID-19 situation report.

NCDC however confirmed Lagos recording 153 new cases across the state on Tuesday.

Giving the analysis, the diseases control agency reported that Ondo state, Edo, FCT Abuja, Enugu and Rivers states each recorded more than 30 cases each in a day.

The analysis showed that Ondo state, on Tuesday recorded the second highest of Tuesday’s cases, having 76 cases, while Edo state recorded 54.

Furthermore, at the FCT Abuja, 41 cases were recorded with Enugu recording 37 cases and Rivers state recording 30 positive COVID-19 cases.

Moreso, Benue stte recorded 24 new cases and Osun recorded 20, while Kaduna and Kwara states recorded 15 and 13 cases respectively.

The analysis further showed that Abia, Borno, Plateau and Taraba states recorded 9, 8, 6 and 5 new cases respectively.

Meanwhile, other dates that recorded new positive cases on Tuesday are Ogun – 3, Kano – 3, Kebbi – 2, Nasarawa – 2, Bayelsa and Gombe, having 1 each.

NCDC further confirmed that the Tuesday’s 503 new cases has taken the total cases confirmed in Nigeria to 29,879, with 12,108 patients discharged and 669 deaths.
