– Osun discharged 21 COVID-19 patients, recorded 13 new cases
– Claims recorded cases are contacts from previous cases in the state
The Osun state government has confirmed the discharge of 21 COVID-19 patients in the state on Monday in which another 13 new cases of the virus were recorded.
This was contained in the state of the State’s commissioner for Health, Dr. Rafiu Isamotu, in Osogbo on the evening of Monday.
Dr. Isamotu confirmed it that the recorded 13 new cases were as a result of contacts with previous patients in the state.
He therefore implore the citizens of the state to always observe the NCDC released preventive measures against the coronavirus virus disease.
Speaking further, the minister rthat the total number of recorded cases in the state has risen to 178 new cases with 87 active cases.
He however added that the state has also recorded 84 victories from the virus as 84 patients has been completely healed and discharged.
“With the latest development, the number of active cases as at today, Monday, July 6, is 87. We have 178 confirmed cases, out of which the State has successfully treated and discharged 84 patients while seven deaths have been recorded,” Dr. Isamotu added.
