– Former Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose calls on DSS to place the suspended EFCC boss on watch list to prevent him from fleeing.
Ayodele Fayose took to his official twitter handle to urge the security agencies to keep a watchful eye on the suspended EFCC chairman so that he will have no chance of escaping.
Ibrahim Magu, who was the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, was suspended on the alleged corruption charges laid on him.
The former governor called on the Department of State Services, DSS, the Nigerian Police Force, Nigerian Customs Services, and other security outfit to monitor Magu closely so he won’t disappear into thin air.
He wrote, “Just as Magu directed that I be placed on “watch-list” even when I had immunity as a sitting governor, Magu too must be placed on watch-list so that he won’t run away. EFCC, DSS, Customs, Police, Immigration, Army, Navy, Air Force, others, over to you. What goes around comes around.”
Meanwhile, news had it that the Policemen from the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department of the force had stormed Magu’s house on Tuesday, where they left with some vital documents.
Furthermore, after the suspended EFCC chairman was interrogated on Monday, he had been delivered to the Nigerian Police Force in the late hours of Tuesday.
He will be returning for the interogation session with the presidential panel on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, President Mohammadu Buhari has approved the suspension of the said Magu on Tuesday, pending the interogation.
