PDP reps threatens Buhari with impeachment if precidency fails to attend to insecurity and clear the notorious corruption cases.
The lawmakers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has threatened President Buhari with impeachment over what they tagged as “calculated blackmail” on the national assembly and the insecurity in Nigeria.
Leader of the PDP caucus of the house, Kingsley Chinda sent this warning to the Presidency and vowed to begin the impeachment process if proper actions are not taken.
Furthermore, the PDP lawmakers is gave the President Buhari-led executive arm an ultimatum of 4-weeks “to provide security to Nigerians and commence proper cleaning of the embarrassing and notorious corruption cases at the EFCC and NDDC.” Daily post reported.
Chinda further promised to revert to the relevant sections of the constitution and commence impeachment proceedings with the interest of Nigerians at heart, if their demand is not met.
He explained that the impeachment process would be initiated due to the behaviours of appointees of the executive arm who continue to show disrespect for the constitution.”
