Just in: Magu denies giving VP Osinbajo N4bn

– The suspended EFCC acting chairman denied telling the investigative panel that he gave VP Osinbajo N4bn.

As the investigation session of the suspended EFCC acting chairman, Ibrahim Magu goes on, there has been several discovering and development, one of which accused the vice president of the federation, Prof. ‘Yemi Osinbajo of receiving N4bn.

However, things seems to have changed and about to take another dimension as Magu denied ever saying he gave VP Osinbajo a sum of N4bn.

He denied ever saying such before the investigative panel on Thursday.

According to The Nation, Ibrahim Magu was quoted saying: “I did not tell the panel that I gave the Vice President N4 billion”.

He went further to claimed he couldn’t lay his hand on such a huge amount as he had no source at which the fund will come in.

“Where will I get such money? Do I have access to such funds? It is part of mudslinging. Please clear this. I do not have any control of such cash, I did not order the transfer of N4 billion to the VP or to anybody.” DailyPost reported.

While still defending his claim, the suspended acting chairman of the EFCC said the name of Vice President Osinbajo never came up in his confessions.

He said; “never came up at the panel’s session at all. Since the VP was not an issue, I could not have mentioned that I gave him N4 billion”.

Meanwhile, Ibrahim Magu has spent four days at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) on Corruption allegations that involved siding with criminals in money laundering among other charges.
