Nigeria recorded New 555 COVID-19 Cases

Nigeria with its battle with this pandemic doesn’t seem to be yielding good result as the country recorded 555 new COVID-19 cases, hitting 40,500 in its tally.

According to the result released by the Nigeria Center for Diseases Control, NCDC, on Sunday night.

The result showed that the COVID-19 toll in Nigeria is now 40,532 confirmed cases, recorded 555 new cases in a day.

Nigeria’s tally of confirmed COVID-19 cases on Saturday rose to 40,532 as 555 new infections were announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

More so, the NCDC situation report showed that the 17,374 patients have been discharged after fully recovered from the virus.

Meanwhile, Nigeria had so far recorded 858 deaths of these COVID-19 patients, NCDC reported.

The states which recorded New cases of COVID-19 diseases on Sunday are Lagos, recording 156, which is the highest.

Also, Kano recording 65 new cases, Ogun recording 57 new cases, Plateau recording 54 new cases, likewise Oyo State with 53 new cases.

Furthermore, Benue state also recorded 43 cases, FCT Abuja with 30 new cases, Ondo State with 18 new cases, Kaduna with 16 cases, as well as Akwa Ibom state with 13 new cases.

Also, Gombe state recorded 13 cases, Rivers state also recorded 12 cases, Ekiti State also with 9 cases, Osun with 8, Cross River with 3 Borno state with 2, and Edo and Bayelsa with 2 and 1 respectively.
