– Says he’s making empty threats and boasting.

It is another episode of the drama going on in the political system of Ondo state, between the State’s deputy governor and the cabinet.

The new phase of the drama unfolds as the house decided to react to the call of the deputy governor for the speaker of the house to resign.

It should be noted that the deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi, had earlier called on the speaker of the Ondo state house of assembly, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun to resign over what he claimed to be incompetency displayed at the meeting leading to the failed plot to impeach him.

Ajayi on Sunday, therefore called on the speaker to resign of face impeachment.

However, while reacting to his statement, the Chairman, House Committee on Information, Olugbenga Omole who spoke on behalf of the lawmakers described his claim as baseless.

Omole who called on the deputy governor to use his claim of having “majority” on his side to remove the speaker as promised, said he was just boasting as he do not have the said majority on his side.

The chairman, House Committee on Information, therefore affirm that the speaker is unshakable and he will not be impeached as claimed by Ajayi.
