104 Unity schools set to open for exiting class Tomorrow. Ministry of education to go round inspecting each school’s compliance with COVID-19 protocol.
As earlier directed by the federal government through the Minister of Education that all schools should open for Exiting SS3 class to write their final year examination.
The ministry has ascertained that 104 unity schools nationwide are set to open their gate for the exiting class in order to get set for their August 17th WAEC Examination.
Speaking, the Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba said the 104 unity schools will reopen to SS3 students from tomorrow.
The Minister made the announcement at the end of a virtual meeting with Commissioners of Education in 36 States and other stakeholders on Monday.
In a statement by the Director, Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Education (FMoE), Ben Goong, he lauded the Principals of the Colleges for the comprehensive preparation put in place ahead of tomorrow’s resumption.
“From today, the Honourable Minister of State for Education, Permanent Secretary and Directors will embark on an assessment tour of all Unity Colleges to ascertain and confirm the reports they have received from the Principals of Unity Colleges,” the statement said
Furthermore, the Federal government has found a way to harmonize all final year examinations and released the dates of each exam.
The WAEC which comes first will commence on the 17th of August and spans for a period of one month.
