"Continue to uphold the dignity of the judiciary" - Ganduje to the Newly Sworn-in High Court Judges

The Governor of Kano Sate, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has urged the newly sworn-in High Court judges in the state to continue to uphold the dignity of the judiciary.

Ganduje gave this advise while delivering an address at the swearing-in of six (6) new high Court judges in Kano state on Monday.

The governor urged the new judges to carry out their duties diligently without being corrupted by the power that comes with their new positions as a high court judges.

In his words, “We hold you in very high esteem. You should avoid all subterranean influences of the powers that be in the discharge of your duties. “I believe you will continue to uphold your credibility so that you will be respected by the people of Kano State,”

Charging the new judges for transparency in the discharge of their duties, the governor stated: “Continue to uphold the dignity of the judiciary”.

The governor also announced that Kano state now has a Court of Appeal which will ease the torment of traveling to KADUNA when need arises.

The six judges sworn-in are: Jamilu Shehu Sulaiman, Zuwaira Yusuf, Maryam Ahmad Sabo, Sanusi Ado Maji, Hafsat Yahaya Sani and Abubakar Abdu Maiwada.

Also, a Permanent Secretary, Aminu Armada Bahaushe, was sworn-in to serve with the Ministry of Housing and Transport.

Ganduje who couldn’t hide his excitement as the state now has an appeal court said; “I am happy that we have an Appeal Court here in Kano, this has eased the difficulties of having to travel to Kaduna for cases when the need arises”.
