COVID-19 Cases in Nigeria Hit 49000 as 298 New Cases Recoded

The cases of COVID-19 disease in Nigeria Hit 49000 yesterday when the NCDC announced the discovery of 298 new cases.

According to the update release by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Sunday, the toll in Nigeria scaled past 49000 recorded cases across the country.

The 298 new cases were confirmed in 16 cases of the country with Plateau taking the lead with 108 new cases only on Sunday.


Below is the breakdown of the cases recorded in Nigeria last Sunday;

This new cases takes the number of cases recorded in Nigeria so far to 49,068 cases.



However, 36,497 patients has been discharged and 975 patients lost the battle to the pandemic.

This left Nigeria with a total number of 11,596 active cases as of Sunday night.
