In a bid to increase the response rate to the COVID-19 disease across the country, the Nigeria Center for Diseases Control, NCDC, has acquired 2 new Molecular labs alongside a new fee-paying testing lab.
The inclusion of these new laboratories was announced by the NCDC via her Twitter handle on Friday.
The two new labs prepared for testing COVID-19 disease are; Bayelsa Medical University, Molecular Biology Lab, Bayelsa State and University of Port Harcourt Regional Centre for Biotechnology & Bioresources Research, Rivers State.
Similarly, The Lily Clinic Hospital Laboratory, Benin, Edo State got accredited as a fee-paying lab for COVID-19 testing.

These new laboratories increased the number of molecular labs for testing COVID-19 in Nigeria to 66 labs across 34 states of the federation.
Similarly, the list of accredited fee-paying COVID-19 testing labs is now 15.
