Good news as Lagos orders reopening of schools

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu has orders the reopening of all tertiary institutions across the state.

Sanwo-olu gave the order on Saturday where he ordered all tertiary institutions to open for academic activities from September 14th.

According to the governor, the decision follows the progress the state has recorded in their fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and also in line with the desire to gradually open the economy and critical sectors of the state.

“Following the progress we have made in the management of #COVID19 and in line with our desire to gradually open the economy and critical sectors, today I announced that tertiary institutions will re-open from September 14th 2020.” He said.

Speaking further, the governor also gave permission to for social clubs and recreational centres with trustees to resume operation.

In the same vein, the restaurant that have been prevented from having ear-ins has thus been permitted.

Meanwhile, the governor never forget to reiterate that these operations should be with due compliance with the COVID-19 preventive measures.

The governor who sympathized with business owners who are greatly affected by the pandemic, pledged the dedication of the state to continue her responsible response to the pandemic in the state.

He also reminded the citizens that the gradual reopening doesn’t mean the pandemic is over, hence the citizens should keep up preventing themselves against the respiratory virus.
