I did not authorize any campaign poster; Fayemi breaks silence on his trending poster

The trending campaign poster of the Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi which presents him as an Aspirant in the 2023 presidential election, has forced a reaction from the governor.

Governor Fayemi in his reaction to the poster that has filled every social media platform, said he did not authorize anything of such, stating clearly that he knew nothing about the emergence of the poster.

Fayemi on Wednesday disclosed that the sponsor of the purported poster, Mr Femi Ayodele, who is the Chairman of Ikere Local Government Area was not authorised at any time to produce the campaign materials for the purpose of the 2023 elections.

Speaking trough his Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode, the governor restated his determination to giving back to the people of Ekiti State, Real dividend of democracy and is doing his best to avoid distractions.

He said, “Dr Fayemi does not have any knowledge of the campaign poster neither did he authorise Mr Ayodele or any person or group of persons to start a campaign on his behalf.

“As a matter of fact, Mr Ayodele does not and cannot speak for the Governor on any matter, be it policy, administrative or political.

Meanwhile, Nigeria News World gathered that the Ekiti State House of Assembly has suspended the said Ayodele as the Chairman of Ikere local government.
