Innocent boy injured by stray bullet as hoodlums allegedly hired by Oshiomhole attacked Obaseki to disrupt his campaign in Apana, Uzairue.

Every political parties in the state has began their campaign in earnest in order to be victorious in the September election.
However, the Thursday Obaseki’s campaign has brought about an unfortunate circumstance which saw to the injury of an innocent child on an errand.
Nigeria News World gathered that a gang of hoodlums on Thursday attacked the campaign train of the Ondo State Governor who doubles as the gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Godwin Obaseki.
The hoodlums attacked the governor and disrupt his campaign in Ward 10, Apana, Uzairue, Etsako West Local Government Area of the state, which is the home town of the former APC national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, who is known by his strong enmity towards the governor.
In a report by Politics Nigeria, the attack lasted for about 5 minutes of intense gun fight between the governor’s security details and the louts after which the louts took to their heels when it became so hard to resist the attack by the governor’s security details.
Meanwhile, the campaign resumed after the peace has been restored by the security details attached to the governor.
But it is quite unfortunate that an innocent young boy who was running an errand got hit by a stray bullet in the process of gun fight between the two parties.
We gathered that the boy has been hospitalized in an undisclosed location and receiving treatment.
Reacting to the attack, governor Obaseki pointed an accusing finger to the former APC chairman, Adam Oshiomhole for hiring the hoodlums to disrupt his campaign in his home town.
“You see what has happened now, Oshiomhole allegedly hired thugs to attack us so that we will not campaign in Apana.” The governor reportedly said.
Furthermore, Obaseki used the attack as a campaign point when he condemned the former APC chairman who he (Obaseki) said couldn’t fix road for his people.
He therefore promised to begin constructing the road by October and as well improve their health center and the facilities.
In the same tone, the deputy governor of the Philip Shaibu encouraged the residents of Apana, Uzairue not to be intimidated by hoodlums attack but use their voter cards to see to the end of the reign of APC in Edo.
