Be on the lookout for resumption, OOU tells students

With the government of Osun state having ordered the reopening of schools across the state, the management of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye (OOU), has sent an anticipatory message to her students.

The university, on Monday told her students, parents and visitors to be on the lookout for the formal announcement of the resumption date by the university management.

This was contained in a statement by the university registrar, Mr. Femi Ogunwomoju, where he disclosed that the university is taking all the necessary actions and protocols to ensure safe reopening of academic activities in the citadel of learning soon.

The statement read partly, “The management was aware of the recent directive by the state government for tertiary institutions in the state to resume from September 21, 2020.

“Parents, guardians and students, are advised to be on the lookout for the formal announcement on resumption by the university. Necessary actions and protocols are being taken to ensure safe reopening of the University.”

Meanwhile, ASUU, NASU and NLC disrupt resumption in Lagos State University, Ojoo, Lagos (LASU) on Monday as they staged protest over unpaid minimum wages.
