Lagos Ministry of Education Disowns Viral Resumption Calendar

With a viral resumption calendar which is porported to have emanated from the state’s ministry of education ravaging the internet, the Lagos State ministry of education has disown the viral academic calendar.

The school resumption timetable making rounds on social media has been disowned by the Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA) Unit of the Lagos State Ministry of Education.

While Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had said that the resumption date he announced was tentative, the supposed 2020/2021 academic calendar states that the first term of the session will start on September 21 and end on December 18, 2020. January 11, 2021 and May 3 were also given as the start dates for second and third terms respectively.

However OEQA spokesman Emmanuel Olaniran in a statement released on Monday, 31st of August, said the calendar did not emanate from his office.
