Just in: Lagos State Governor, Sanwo-olu joins #EndSARS protest

The governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has taken the bold step of joining the movement that calls for an end to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS in Lagos state.

Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday, joined the protesters in Alausa area of the state where he received their letter of demand, the governor disclosed in a tweet.

The governor also revealed his intention to have an audience with President Buhari and table the demand of the aggrieved citizens.

He wrote; “I joined the #ENDSARS protesters in Alausa and received a letter of their demands and once again I reiterated my support.

“I am now on my way to Abuja to meet with H.E Pres. @MBuhari and the goal of the conversation is clear.”

The Tuesday’s nationwide protest is the continuation of the nationwide demand for end of Police brutality and harassment on innocent citizens.

Meanwhile, another video has erupted that shows the interruption of the governor while trying to address the angry mob.

Sanwo-Olu was interrupted by the popular song of David Adeleke, renowned by his state name, Davido, titled “Fem”.

However, the governor has embarked in his journey to meet with President Buhari and tender the letter recieved from Alausa area protesters.
