The British player with Nigeria roots had earlier committed his International playing career to the Three Lions of England.
Bukayo Saka wished the African Giants National team all the best after he confirmed his International career is with the English side.
His versatility and performance with his club has earned him a call-up to the English set up as they prepare for their upcoming games against Wales, Belgium and Denmark. He has been enormous for the Gunners since his emergence to the first team at the North London based team.
In his interview with Sky Sports, the newly Three Lions invitee said; “I feel like I’m really, really proud of my Nigerian heritage.”
He continued, “I always still watch Nigeria’s games where I can and I wish them all the best and support them all the way, but I’ve seen the process of how England are transforming and I think in the future they are going to do great stuff.
“I feel like it was right for me to choose England,” he concluded.
The third ranked best team in Africa will play two friendlies against Algeria and the North African team, Tunisia in a bid for the preparation of their AFCON qualifiers against Sierra Leone in November.
