The Osun state government has issued a new guideline to all public motorcyclist in the state amidst the ease of the imposed curfew.
In this new guideline, the Okada riders across that have been directed to close for the days work at 8:00pm daily regardless the curfew lift.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Mrs. Funke Egbemode, on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the governor also admonished all motorcyclists who are yet to register as directed by the state to do so with immediate effect.
The statement reads; “the State government of Osun wishes to reiterate that the closing time for Okada operations is still 8:00pm. This is regardless of the full relaxation of curfew in the State.
“The govt also implores all commercial motorcyclists who are yet to register, to do so promptly.
“As at today, records show that more 8000 forms have been issued. The government commends those who have complied and enjoined those who have not to do so quickly with their unit leaders.”
Meanwhile, the governor had earlier on Wednesday, lifted the 8:00pm to 6:00am curfew which was put in place in restoring peace and order which were being jettisoning by hoodlums parading themselves as #EndSARS protesters.
