Just in: FOAASU Swears in First Female National President

The Federation of Oyan, Asi, Asaba Students’ Union, (FOAASU) has made a landmark as it see to the swearing in of its first female president since its 40 years of existence.

The newly sworn in President, Omogoye Oluwaseyi Elizabeth, who is a final year student of Human Anatomy from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State, (FUTA), equally became the first female to become an indigenous president across Odo-Otin Local Government.

Comrade Oluwaseyi was sworn in today, 31st of December, 2020, following her unopposed election into the apex seat of the indigenous student union on 29th of December from 2020.

It however believed that the new development will be a motivation for the girls child in the locality and a landmark in the student unionism in Odo-Otin local government of Osun state.

Meanwhile, in her inaugural speech, the new president who charged the members of the union and the students at large to give their support to achieve a common goal.

Furthermore, the administration also have 2 other female holding prominent seat viz the Vice president academic and the Assistant General Secretary.

She is expected to stir the coast of the union for another academic year, and the members are in high anticipation of excellent performance of the courageous comrade.
