The Nigerian Police Force has made clarifications on the alleged photoshoped photo of Suspected Criminals released on the net.
In a statement released by the security outfit on Wednesday, it was cleared that there is no misrepresentation or misinformation whatsoever in the said photos.
Attached to the statement is a video of the paraded criminals who were said to have been arrested in their criminal activities and weapons retrieved from them.
Speaking on the alleged doctored photo of a certain 40-year-old Talatu Ibrahim, Nigerian Police said she was apprehended for dealing in illegal weapons.
The security outfit also disclosed that six AK-49 riffles were retrieved from her, alongside another Duleji Alhaji Abubakar who patronizes her in arms dealing.
The statement reads partly; “To set the record straight, in the case involving one Talatu Ibrahim, female, 40years old from Shinkafi LGA, Zamfara State from whom six (6) AK49 rifles were recovered and one other, Duleji Alhaji Abubakar a.k.a Ori jeje who gets arms supply from her to carry out series of kidnapping and armed robbery in Kwara State, the pictures are authentic and true representation of the suspects and exhibits.”
Furthermore, the statement disclosed that although the the pictures were taken separately, they were marged together for better understanding and to give a meaningful story.
“However, the pictures were taken separately and merged into one screen for seamless understanding of the story line. The arms showcased in the picture were the exhibits recovered by Police operatives from the suspects”. It reads further.

Meanwhile, the force also cleared air on the prisoners who escaped from the Ọkọ̀ Correctional Center, Benin City, during the #EndSARS chaos.

The escapees were apprehended while carrying out their criminal acts and are awaiting trial.
